Thank you for being here.
Yáʼátʼééh (Hello),
I'm Michelle (she/her), an Indigenous Queer woman with roots in the Apache, Diné, Southern Cheyenne, and Kiowa nations. When it comes to mental health therapy, I take a decolonized approach, recognizing the importance of overall well-being—mind, body, social connection, and spirituality. In therapy, I want it to be your space, where your story is the main focus. It's a place that respects your strengths and embraces you without judgment.
Grounded in the ancestral lands of the Shoshone, Northern Ute, Goshute, and Paiute land, also known as Salt Lake City, Utah, I incorporate land acknowledgment into my practice. This powerful gesture reflects a deep reverence for and recognition of the Indigenous Peoples who have called this land home. Just as the landscape of therapy is unique for each individual, I honor and respect your personal landscape within our therapeutic space.
My clinical journey stems from community and tribal mental health, specializing in trauma, domestic violence, substance use, identity exploration, and perinatal mental health. I hold a deep appreciation for individual narratives and eagerly anticipate the opportunity to listen and learn from yours.
Ahéheeʼ (Thank you)
